The biggest attraction at Mt Rinjani is within the huge crater itself and to see that, you have to climb it.

Day 1 Lombok Airport to Sembalun Lawang, Mt Rinjani entry point

• We will pick you up at Lombok airport then drive to Sembalun Lawang village, the entry point of Mt Rinjani
• Lunch en-route
• Overnight at local homestay in Sembalun Lawang
• Meals L, D

Day 2 Sembalun Lawang – Plawangan Sembalun

• After breakfast, transfer with motorcycle to Post 2 of Mt Rinjani
• Start hiking to Pelawangan Sembalun
• Overnight camping at Pelawangan Sembalun campsite
• Meals: B, L, D

Day 3 Pelawangan Sembalun – Summit Mt Rinjani – Segara Anak Lake

• Early wake up at 1 or 2  AM for the summit bid. Depending on your pace, normally it takes 4-6 hours to reach the summit of Mt Rinjani from Pelawangan Sembalun
• Descend to Pelawangan Sembalun then Segara Anak Lake
• Overnight camping at Segara Anak Lake
• Meals: B, L, D

Day 4 Segara Anak Lake – Torean route – Sembalun Lawang

• After breakfast, start descending via Torean route, which normally takes 8-10 hour hike
• From Torean gate continue with motor cycle to the homestay
• overnight at local homestay in Sembalun Lawang
• Meals: B, L, D

What to bring to the program

The normal temperature in Mount Rinjani during the day is around 17-23 degrees Celsius. At night the temperature could reach 10 degrees Celsius.

For this trip, It is suggested that you wear a base layer and prepare a good quality fleece jacket/woolen or windproof jacket as the outer layer (for night temperature). Waterproof and windproof trekking pants are desirable and a pair of gloves and beanie for additional cold protection.

The type of footwear that we recommend for this trek is a pair of trekking shoes (that you have worn before) with good traction or trail running shoes
